Today is the day. Online registration is officially open for the upcoming school year.
Families can now log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to complete and submit student registration forms.
Before getting started, please remember:
• The medical information section must be fully completed prior to submission
• A current proof of residency is required and must be uploaded
We encourage all families to complete registration as soon as possible to help us prepare for a strong start to the school year.

Mrs. Ongela Nance was approved by the Board of Trustees as the new Principal of Long Cane Primary School, beginning July 1, 2026.
Mrs. Nance brings 15 years of experience in education, including the last couple as Assistant Principal of Lakeview Elementary School in Greenwood. Mrs. Nance has been a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, and now Principal of Long Cane Primary!
Mrs. Nance, her husband, (BJ) and children live in Abbeville County (Donalds). Mrs. Nance once worked at John C. before working in Greenwood and is now returning to ACSD. She came highly recommended!

This annual survey provides students, parents, and staff the opportunity to share important feedback about their school experiences. The information gathered helps our district and schools better understand strengths, identify areas for growth, and continue improving the overall learning environment for all students.

Abbeville County School District will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4.

All schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Tuesday, February 3 due to hazardous road conditions in several areas.
Due to the inclement weather, the rescheduled meeting for the Abbeville County School District Board of Trustees, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The Budget Workshop will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by an Executive Session at 5:30 PM. The regular meeting will begin at 6:00 PM.
*The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 17 will be a combined meeting for January and February. An updated agenda, which will reflect the changes, will be posted prior to the meeting.
Due to the winter storm anticipated to impact our area this weekend, Abbeville County School District will have an eLearning Day on Monday, February 2nd. All extracurricular activities and athletic events are canceled Saturday, January 31st through Monday, February 2nd.
This decision was made to ensure the safety of our students and staff. The district will continue to consult with local officials as we make further decisions regarding school next week. We will share all updates through our communications system, website, and social media channels.

Out of an abundance of caution, Abbeville County School District will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday, January 29th. Although temperatures are reaching mid to high 40's during the day, water is re-freezing overnight with lows in the 20's.
