Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who stepped forward in our nation’s darkest hours.
As a school district, we carry the responsibility of helping a new generation understand the significance of that day—not only the tragedy, but also the compassion, bravery, sacrifice, and unity that followed.
Today, the Abbeville County School District pauses to honor their memory. May we continue to teach, remember, and stand together.
