5K Parents - if your child is participating in the Winter Musical, please have them dressed in red or green shirts and blue jeans, and in the music room by 5:45 tonight so that we may begin promptly at 6:00!
Candy Cane Lane opens for shopping tomorrow! There are items for parents, grandparents, siblings, and pets. Prices range from $0.25 to $5.00. If your child would like to shop, please complete the form that was sent home today and return it with their money in a sealed envelope on the day you would like for them to shop. Candy Cane Lane will be open until next Wednesday from 8:30 - 1:45 and students will be able to shop during their Related Arts class.

Robotics will not meet Wednesday, October 30. These students should plan for regular dismissal procedures.
The fall deadline to turn in traditional Box Tops is October 22! Please continue to collect those as you see them, and download the Box Tops app to help our school continue to earn these funds!
Reminder: Kindergarten students will be travelling to Callaham Orchards tomorrow. Please have your children at school on time as the bus is leaving shortly after 8:00. If you indicated that your child was bringing their lunch, don't forget to send it with them. Also, please remember to dress students appropriately for the weather!

Stop by this afternoon between 3:30 and 6:00 to visit with your child's teacher and take a look at all they have been working on so far this year. Our Book Fair will be open for shopping, information will be available about our new First Lego League Jr. team, and the Boy Scouts will be having an informational meeting in the cafeteria beginning at 5:00. We can't wait to see you!

Tomorrow, August 6th is Registration at Long Cane! Each year ALL students must register. Here’s some info to help you make plans:
Time: 8:30a.m- 1:30p.m
Location: Gym - NEW students
Computer Lab- returning students
1.. All new students to LCP need to attend UNLESS student attended our K4 program or attended our Pre-registration in May. If you picked up packet earlier this summer, bring it with required documents tomorrow for processing.
2. All returning students should be registered using the online portal. Emails were sent to valid addresses with needed snapcode. Staff will be available tomorrow in our computer lab to assist you if needed.
3. Teacher assignments will be given out on August 12th at Meet the teacher/Supply drop off from 11:30a.m- 6p.m.
4. It is not necessary to attend on-site registration IF you registered online.
5. If you are unsure, need assistance, or prefer to register the old-fashioned way, we are happy to see you tomorrow!!!
Online Registration for returning students will begin on June 17, 2019. You will receive an email with instructions on July 1 that will include a new snapcode for the 2019-20 school year. Contact David Myers at dmyers@acsdsc.org if you have any questions.
Kindergarten Graduations begin tomorrow and we are so excited to celebrate this milestone with our students!
Parents, please have your K5 students to school before 8:00. Their graduation t-shirts are in their classrooms and we need to ensure everyone has enough time to change and line up before the program begins promptly at 8:30. Don’t forget to make sure they wear tennis shoes!
Mrs. Addis, Miss Phillips, and Miss Pressley’s classes will graduate Monday (June 3) and Mrs. McNair, Mrs. Glenn, and Mrs. Buchanan’s classes will graduate Tuesday (June 4).

Long Cane Primary will dismiss early tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15. Car riders will be dismissed beginning at 12:25 with buses soon to follow.
The 1st Grade field trip will still go on as scheduled.

Abbeville County School District will dismiss at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 15. As a reminder, some buses will run earlier than the 1:00pm dismissal. We wish the Dixie Hornets softball team safe travels and much success!
