SCReady Testing Information

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The South Carolina College- and Career- Ready Assessment (SCREADY ) is a statewide assessment in ELA and Mathematics administered to students in grades 3-8. In addition, students in the 4th grade will take the South Carolina College- and Career- Ready Assessment (SCREADY) in Science.
These assessments will give important information about your child’s academic levels and will help to guide future instructional decisions in our school. Please see the schedules below for each test. It is very important for all students to be at school and on time for testing. Students who are absent or tardy on test days will have to make-up the test. If a child comes to school tardy, he or she will be sent to another classroom until testing is complete and will need to make-up the test on another day.
Please help us make sure your child feels confident and comfortable as he/she takes the SCReady assessment. Here are some important tips and reminders to help your child prepare for testing dates:
Be sure your child goes to bed early and gets a good night’s sleep
Make sure your child eats a good breakfast
All students need to arrive at school on time (before 7:45 am)
Students are NOT allowed to have cell phones, tablets, smart watches or any other electronic communication devices during the test. Please make sure all devices are kept at home during testing.
