Read Across America Day is an annual reading motivation and awareness program held on March 2nd that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading. This year, Read Across America Day at LCPS will serve as a kickoff event for our quest to truly read across America! Classes will take a road trip across the nation by reading picture books set in each of our fifty states from March 2 - April 14. Those classes that successfully complete their journey will be recognized and rewarded when we return from Spring Break on April 25. We are asking our school community to help us celebrate Read Across America Day by dressing in your most patriotic gear (anything red, white, and blue goes)! We look forward to embarking on this journey together and learning more about our great nation along the way.
