Thanks to a generous grant from Duke Energy, Diamond Hill Elementary School hosted the South Carolina Ag in the Classroom Mobile Learning Lab on Thursday, April 17th, for 3rd -6th graders, becoming the first elementary school in Abbeville County to do so! This exciting, hands-on educational experience brings the world of agriculture directly to students. The Mobile Learning Lab helps students trace the journey of South Carolina-grown commodities from "field to plate"—all while meeting state academic standards across all subject areas. Inside the 32-foot mobile classroom, students engaged with interactive stations, guided experiments, and real-world applications of agriculture, sparking curiosity and deepening their appreciation for the role agriculture plays in their everyday lives. A huge thank you to Duke Energy and Abbeville County Farm Bureau for making this unforgettable learning experience possible!
