2020 Washington Youth Tour & Cooperative Youth Summit for High School Juniors and Sophmores - Deadline 2/07/2020

=>If you're a high school junior, you could be selected for the 2020 Washington Youth Tour. On the Washington Youth Tour (June 20-25, 2020), explore Washington, D.C. with 1,500 high school juniors from across the country, meeting lawmakers and touring all the sights. Little River Electric Co-op will cover your round-trip plane ticket, tours and meals.

=>If you are a high school sophomore, you could be selected for the Youth Summit. Apply today to be a part of one of these two unforgettable experiences. On the Cooperative Youth Summit (July 7-10, 2020).experience South Carolina’s capital like never before. Tour the State House, meet lawmakers and see how co-ops are preparing for our state’s energy future. Plus, there’s plenty of fun with visits to popular Columbia attractions like Riverbanks Zoo & Garden and the Robert Mills House and Gardens.

Little River Electric Co-op selects two area high school students each year to participate as delegates in each program. Simply fill out the forms in the above link to be considered for these trips! Deadline for applications is February 7, 2020.

2020 Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour Washington, DC | June 6-10, 2020 - Deadline 2/26/2020 Student must be a rising high school senior (graduating in 2021) and must be under the age of 18 at the time of the tour.Legal Guardian must be a customer of West Carolina Tel. For more information, pick up an application in the Junior Section of the Counseling Department.

Clemson's Challenge for Academically Talented Students (C-CATS) recruits top 10% 9th and 10th graders from SC, NC and GA to participate in high-powered weekend retreats. C-CATS is only open to students in the top-10% of their class. If you think you fit that criteria, please ask your guidance counselor to nominate you!
